We are producing an action plan for the next 18 months of the network. We want it to be as useful as possible to you, its members, so please tell us what your priorities are and what you think of our plans here.
Prevention Assistant Vacancy
Zero Tolerance is recruiting for a Prevention Network Assistant to replace Callum Hendry who is moving on to coordinate White Ribbon Scotland. This is an exciting opportunity to support the development of the prevention network. Further info
Award for Dumfries campaign
The winning campaign on domestic abuse affecting older women comprised TV advertising and posters, and was judged to be the most effective by the Association of Social Care Communicators (ASCC) attracting a £500 first prize. Find out more and watch the adverts.

New Amina Muslim Women’s Resource Centre Training
Amina Muslim Women's Resource Centre are offering two training sessions on 'Islam and Violence Against Women', and 'Violence Against Women, Culture and Practice'. Further info
New Women's Support Project Training Programme
The Women’s Support Project has launched its latest programme of training and awareness raising events including new workshops on ‘Young People coming of age in a P~rn Culture’ and ‘Understanding Commercial S~xual Exploitation as Violence Against Women’. New LGBT Domestic Abuse Project Training
The LGBT Domestic Abuse Project has launched its autumn/winter training calendar of events. Including courses on exploring the dynamics and impacts of LGBT domestic abuse. Further info
Fri 27th Nov: Scottish Women’s Aid Development Day: Dating Violence
A day aimed at policy makers who wish to explore effective ways of mainstreaming work around young people’s experiences of abuse in intimate relationships into policy and practice. Find out more and see SWA’s full training and events calendar
Mon 16th Nov: Price of Pleasure film screening and discussion
An opportunity for workers from violence against women services and women’s organisations to attend the first Scottish screening of a new documentary about the p~~nography industry.
